A versatile laser cut micro-layout / diorama MDF baseboard as used by Phil Parker on the Didsbury Green layout as featured in BRM magazine. Ideal for building a wide variety of dioramas and layouts. Suitable for all types and scales of military, aviation and road transport modelling, as well as small scale model railway layouts in OO scale, N and OO9 gauge.

These baseboards are very easy to build, taking just 5 to 10 minutes to assemble. No tools required, just a little wood glue. Base plinth has a 46mm high space underneath the entire baseboard for mounting motors, batteries and other electronic modules if required.

This baseboard has been designed to fit inside a Really Useful Plastic 77L plastic storage box for portability and easy storage when not in use.

Professional finish and easy to assemble

So with little time and little idea, I needed to produce a shelf layout as a birthday present. Where to start?

My local b&q provided some ideas but looking on line I came across scale model scenery.

It's the best move I could of made. The finish is superb and although the size worried me, there is actually more room than you think.

If you are stuck for what to do, buy this, it works. I also brought the extension piece and its transformed my original ideas.

Absolutely brilliant item
