Portable Micro Model Railway Layout Baseboard - Scale Model Scenery

Product Description

Need legs for your baseboard? These handy brackets make it possible to add your own legs to any BB017, BB021 or BB029.

Designed to replace the spacers between the boards, and with additional bracing for the front and back faces, these brackets can be used to add legs of your choice to your baseboard.

The legs themselves are not included, but we recommend 3x2 CLS from your local DIY shop.

Bolts, wing nuts and washers are supplied to attach the brackets to your baseboards. Screws to attach the brackets to your chosen legs are not supplied.

Our recommendation is that a single BB021 will need one of these packs. A BB017 would need 2 so that the centre joint of the baseboard is fully supported. But the choice is yours.

This kit contains

  • 2 x double leg brackets (these replace the spacers at each end of the board
  • 4 x front & rear braces
  • 18 wing nuts, washers & brackets for front & rear braces.

Brackets to attach legs - recommended

Bit of a story here as when I was ordering my initial baseboards I needed these to be free-standing and therefore needed something to attach legs to them - note here my woodwork skills aren't the best.

I liked the Scale Model Scenery boards and asked about legs; got a quick friendly reply to the extent that they don't currently have these available but it's something they would look to develop. Picked up batch 1 whilst in Cornwall during the summer and found they worked superbly - you just need to purchase the actual legs themselves.

The additional board meant I needed a further set - came flat-packed along with the board and are the same excellent quality and a superb fitment at a very reasonable price. If you have Scale Model Scenery boards and want to add legs, give these a go.
