About Our Kits - Being different is a good thing...
Our kits are designed to be “as close to the real thing as possible” once assembled, but please bear in mind when purchasing that they are different from other card kits from other manufacturers. Due to the construction process, the texture finishes are supplied as separate sheets rather than pre-glued to the card base layers. Doing it this way enables you to achieve a superior, more realistic to the finished building with no visible cut card edges.
Prices - The boring bit...
All prices displayed on the site include UK Vat at 20% unless otherwise stated. For customers purchasing from countries outside the EU, such as Australia, New Zealand and the United States, the VAT amount will be automatically deducted at the checkout when you select your country of residence.
Delivery - Getting our stuff to you!
Covid-19 Update - We are open and operating as normal but with reduced staffing levels due to Social Distancing and safe working practises. Due to unprecedented demand & higher than normal order volumes it is currently taking longer than we'd expect to process all orders, in particular, orders for baseboards, customised items such as signal box nameplates etc. Please bear with us. All orders are dispatched in board backed “Do Not Bend” Envelopes, or sturdy cardboard boxes to ensure that your order reaches you in perfect condition (please do your bit and recycle the packaging where possible). Most orders are usually dispatched the same day, but we are a small, family run business, so during busy times, this may not always be possible. If you require an express service, please ensure you place your order before 12 noon and choose the appropriate, express delivery option for shipping at the checkout.
Standard Delivery - Our basic service, but you're still a VIP to us!
Delivery on all orders under £50 is charged at a flat rate of £3.50 to go towards handling, postage and packaging costs. Orders are normally dispatched within 24 hours and the standard shipping service we use is Royal Mail Tracked 48 for all inland mail and Royal Mail Airmail for all international orders. Orders over 1kg will be sent via UK Mail / DHL. Standard delivery is usually 3 to 5 working days for all orders going to UK addresses, but as per Royal Mail Terms & Conditions, any items sent via Royal Mail that are delayed are not classed as lost or delayed until 10 working days have passed. For the majority of orders, you will receive an email at the time of dispatch with an electronic copy of your invoice as well as tracking details from the postal service / courier that's being used to ship your parcel.
Free Delivery - Not in a rush? That's cool!
All UK Mainland orders over £50 are eligible for Free Delivery and will be sent by a suitable delivery service of our choosing. We currently work with Royal Mail, UK Mail / DHL. Please allow 3 to 5 days from date of dispatch for delivery, although it’s usually much quicker than that. Tracking details for all orders over £40 going to UK addresses will be emailed directly to you when your order is dispatched.
Orders Over £40 - Who doesn't like a free upgrade?
Orders over £40 going to UK addresses may, at our discretion, be upgraded to an express delivery service at no extra cost to you. This gives you full tracking of your delivery as well as an estimated delivery time too.
Express Delivery - Speedy gonzales!
If you need an order quickly, we offer an Express Delivery service, however, Express Delivery orders should be placed before 12 noon for same day dispatch. Express delivery is usually a 24 / 48 day delivery service (Monday to Friday) and is a trackable service. For this services, there is a fixed charge of £4.95. All orders using this service will be dispatched either via UKMail / DHL. In the majority of cases, you will receive an email or SMS Text from the courier with tracking details and an estimate for delivery time.
Returns & Refunds - No problem!
In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase, you are welcome to return any unused products, in a saleable condition, to us at the address below, complete with the original invoice and a note as to why you'd like to return the item(s) if possible.
Simply changed your mind? No problem… In accordance with the distance selling regulations, you have the right to cancel your order should you change your mind, and receive a full refund up to 14 days from the date of delivery. Simply return the items to us at the address below, along with the original invoice. A full refund will then be issued via your original payment method or as a gift voucher if you prefer, when your goods arrive back here and have been checked by our team. Please note, all returned products must be in a resalable condition.
Faulty Items - Oh no!
We check all items before dispatching, but we’re only human, and occasionally the odd one slips through the net. Please let us know about any faults in any of your purchased goods as soon as possible so that we can rectify the issue swiftly. We will either send you replacement parts or components where possible, or ask you to return it to us for replacement. At present we do not offer a free returns service, but we will of course refund the cost of return postage on faulty items to you via your original payment method.
