Product Description

A self assembly OO / 4mm / 1:76 scale kit to build 2 or 4 workbenches for detailing industrial buildings, depots, maintenance depots & workshops.

The benches can be assembled as either woodworking benches with the vice mounted on the side of the bench, or as a engineers workbench with a bench-top Record style vice. 

Supplied unpainted.

Easy to put together, vice was a bit fiddley might be better as a single item

Good kit

This kit makes up into four nice workbenches that provide a good level of realism on a layout. Some of the pieces are very small and the advice to use a very sharp narrow blade should certainly be followed! A steady hand is needed so perhaps not an ideal kit for a first timer. Once the legs have been glued in place I found it best to let them dry, upside down, with the bottom shelf loose-laid on the underside of the rails. This ensures the legs remain correctly spaced for when the bottom shelf is itself glued into place.

There are minor discrepancies between the part numbers on the diagram and the assembly instructions but it's fairly obvious what's what. So I still give the kit 5* overall.
