This is an amazing solution if like me space is at a premium. I’m in a wheelchair and have found trying to model the large layout in my shed quite a challenge to reach where I want to get to, these baseboards allow me to create an end to end layout that can be fitted onto a shelf on my wall where I can work on it with ease. It’s so simple to put together and while compact it allows ample space to really add detail while allowing some trains to run and do some shunting. Can’t recommend highly enough. I’m only sorry I didn’t do it sooner!

The baseboards are quickly and easily assembled and don’t require any tools. They are ideal for a wide range of modelling uses from dioramas to end to end layouts. One feature I found brilliant is how easily the can be added to expanding the middle sections to add in the baseboard extension packs. The fact that these can be built up and stored in a really useful storage box is again ideal for transporting ad storing them preventing damage and reducing the dust etc. People say the best endorsement for a product is the question, Would you it this again? The answer is absolutely yes. I can’t rate this highly enough.

I decided to build a small portable layout to display at shows. This Layout fits into three Really Useful Boxes. Baseboards are easy to assemble and are very sturdy.

Great kit that is easy to build. All parts fit without any fettling. Has additional fixings to join boards together at the base. Could do with similar to join at top.

They are very easy to put together and very good service. I recomend these boards.

Brilliant and lightweight, easy to build

These baseboards are brilliant. They are accurately cut, they go together very well needing just a bit of PVA wood glue with no fuss or drama, and once built and the two sides bolted together they form a very robust and strong unit. After a coat of paint to seal the wood you are then all set to create your layout. I haven't tried storing it in the suggested plastic christmas tree box, but it does fit perfectly onto an IKEA LACK wall shelf. Definitely recommended.

As a non woodworker these kits make baseboard building quick and easy.

Parts could do with possibly being numbered even with a little sticker just so it’s easier to reference to in the instructions.

There is nothing to dislike about this product , absolutely superb.

This was bought as a Christmas present for someone who wants to create a layout, but doesn’t have a space to set one up for more than a few days at a time. This kit is perfect, because he now has a board that’s just big enough to create a layout and small enough to be stowed away when necessary. It comes flat packed and we’re happy with the quality.

I was on the fence about buying one of these for a while. If anyone else is feeling the same, I can confirm it's definitely worth it - the kit is incredibly well cut and fits together almost perfectly without any glue, and when fixed together it's solid. My only criticism is the proliferation of thin plastic packaging, it might be nice to see some paper alternatives.

Assembly is very easy, makes a great starting point for a micro layout and stores in a plastic box! Amazing!

the baseboard goes together in 10 minutes and is very strong, everything fits perfectly and once built it looks great. The overall size is just enough for a credible layout and with the middle extension produces a very good size for a model. The lightweight of the product is a bonus which enhances the portability of the completed model. all round a fantastic product for the micro modeller

So with little time and little idea, I needed to produce a shelf layout as a birthday present. Where to start? My local b&q provided some ideas but looking on line I came across scale model scenery. It's the best move I could of made. The finish is superb and although the size worried me, there is actually more room than you think. If you are stuck for what to do, buy this, it works. I also brought the extension piece and its transformed my original ideas. Thanks guys. Awsome product and I'm sure you will be developing still further. The kit went together perfectly to provide a very solid base to work from. The engraving on the front panel is incredibly precise and I’m looking forward to the development of the diorama.

Although it is an easy assembly once built and glued together you end up with a strong, rigid baseboard that is light and adaptable

I am really happy with this baseboard if your stuck for space , or even just fancy an end to end layout this is the product for you, fantastic quality arrived well packaged and easy and fun to put together and it can even be extended on if you wish , highly recommended!
