Based on a number of real examples around the UK this versatile Farm Machinery / Tractor Store & Workshop kit can be assembled as either a pristine building, derelict, or anywhere in between and has lots of scope for kit-bashing, just like our KX057-OO Barn.

Supplied with a choice of brick & stone paper wraps for the walls plus laser-cut pre-weathered roof slates, optional gates, windows & doors you can really go to town customising this kit to fit perfectly into your layout. Can be used as a tractor/machinery store, fit the gates to the front to use as a shelter for sheep & lambs, pigs or calves etc. It's also perfect for industrial scenes too and could even be converted into a blacksmiths! There are so many options for this kit.

The model features lots of laser cut detail including roof trusses, roof slates & fully detailed windows and doors for a very realistic finish once assembled.

Doors, window frames, fascias & bargeboards require painting which can be done with solvent or acrylic based paints.

Fantastic building with great detail. I included a roof light with clear plastic and left out a few tiles as suggested.

I found this a very sturdy kit and easy to construct ...apart from the windows which I found very fiddly. The tractor shed is a great accompaniment to the semi detached cottages I bought earlier this year

Nice kit, got to the end and like the coach house I couldn't make up my mind whether to add the gates. A quick look in my box of bits and I found three cows looking for a home. As with some of the other kits I have built, I have added a thin card base. A bit of straw and I've ended up with a nice looking building.

Had a lovely relaxing time over the New Year building this kit, the instructions are amazing so well written and though out - I am dyslexic and struggle but these instructions were spot on written in a way that sounds like the person who wrote them was talking to you especially when the suggested glues etc and then stated their preferred choice.. The kit goes to getter really well and the end product looks amazing with an Oxford tractor and Land Rover parked up..

How easy is this to assemble.

I like this and other Scale Model Scenery buildings for ease of assembly, but also they can be used as built or as a base for extra detailing, the only limit is your imagination.

make sure to remove notches in the wrap and ensure they marry with the laser cut pieces

would look nicer on a base cover in the kit as per the red river inn (which looks brilliant)

Realistic, versatile building.

A very sturdy building with the carcass in MDF. There are individual roof trusses which fit perfectly. The stone wraps and weathered slates give a most realistic appearance to the finished model. The only difficulty will be deciding what you'd like the completed model to be. A farm outbuilding, blacksmith, workshop, industrial storage the list is endless. A fantastic kit! I left the included fascia boards off as I like the exposed roof trusses but they are included if needed.

Only my second SMS kit - really love how wel they go together. I'm new to brick wraps, but they work so well!

Very attractive kit.

When I stuck the roof wrap sheets to the roof boards, it all went banana shape. I still rated the kit at five as I suppose I should have predicted this - I flattened them out well enough in the end. One minor point, I have built a four box version of these stables in real full scale life - the brick base courses do not run across the mouth of the box in our units as it would be a trip hazard.
