KX128-OO Low Relief Lockup/Stores - OO/4mm/1:76

A low-relief version of our KX046-OO Wright's Lockup with an aged, red brick finish. Versatile and with posable doors, this OO gauge / 1:76 scale lockup/stores building is suitable for industrial, town, or harbourside scenes.

Based on the real-life prototype in Penzance, Cornwall, this small piece of model architecture will make a big impact on your layout or diorama, bringing real atmosphere to your backscene.

Also included is an alternative set of buff stone wraps, which can be used to give the building a more rural feel. 

The kit is supplied with laser-cut parts for ease of assembly and comes with fully weathered paper wraps and roof slates, with no additional painting or weathering required on the main components for a "Realistically Better" finish straight from the pack.

The window & doors are supplied laser-cut from our eco-friendly laserboard and are packed with detail, including engraved planks, hinges, and locks. These will require painting with acrylic paints prior to assembly or colouring with suitable markers. We used a matte black spray paint for our test build, which we then dry-brushed with white, buff titanium, and mid grey. The rusty hinges & streaks were then created with burnt umber.

The kit also included interior wall wraps, allowing you to, with care, pose the doors open/closed, and even gives you scope to add your own interior illumination.

There's also plenty of scope for customisation too... with the slates being applied in individual strips, it's easy to build it in either pristine or derelict condition (or anywhere in between).
