Disappointed in its appearance. No instructions on how to connect it, just two bare wires. New to model railway and have no idea how to connect it. Very expensive and wish we hadn’t bought it.

The Christmas Trees are designed to connect to the lighting/accessory output of a standard 16 V model railway transformer/controller. It is suitable for either direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC) supply. Alternatively, it can be operated using a 12 V plug-in power supply unit (500 mA, AC/DC), or it can also be powered by a 9 V battery.

It doesn't matter which wire you connect to either terminal on these trees. Just connect it up and switch the power on :)
