BB018 Micro Layout Baseboard In A Box #2 (730 x 95 x 207mm)

Fantastic little baseboards, great for those little micro layout projects. Easy to put together and combine multiple kits to add a larger fiddle yard. They also fit the 22L really useful boxes perfectly, for dust free storage.

Ideal for a starter model railway layout particularly in Ngauge. Very easy to build and once glued very sturdy. Fits well into the recommended storage boxes and slides under a bed. Takes away the no space excuse for not doing a layout

This is the second baseboard I have bought for a layout in a box - this time, for grandson for Christmas

Easy to put together

Assembled easily and quickly. Now the glue has set they seem remarkably robust. No track laid yet as I've yet to formulate a plan to do them justice . I work in 2mm FS and there's more space than I thought there would would be. Will certainly be getting some more. Thanks for such good product

easy to build and to put together . only downside is you have to do some work on it if you wany to conect them together from one board to another If building different sections.

So easy to put together. Well designed, light sturdy. Returning to model railways after 30 odd years so these products made baseboard construction easier.

Easy to assemble, nice and strong at an affordable price. I like the fact that it fits neatly into one of the Really Useful storage boxes. I have modified mine to suit my needs. Great service once again from SMS. I would recommend these boards to anyone.

Have used these to develop end-to-end scenic elements and a simple circuit for my grandson. Easy to assemble, paint and store. Reasonably priced and excellent service from SMS!

The boards underneath needs to be higher so we can fit dc c concept colony point motors underneath apart from that 100%👍👍👍👍

It makes a complete self contained baseboard for a compact model rail layout.It’s simple and easy to assemble and much lighter than a conventional baseboard.It’s also simpler to send by post and it’s much cheaper but still high quality.It’s important to me that it’s portable enough to carry around the house when neccessary.I can’t fault this product at all!

I ordered this baseboard plus a centre extension and received an excellent standard of customer service. Iain was very helpful with amending my order, and kept me updated with my order's progress throughout. They arrived within a matter of days, a pleasant surprise given it was around the 12th July here in NI! Instructions are easy to follow and the pieces are well made and sturdy. Though some bits are a very snug fit, with a bit of gentle persuasion it makes up into a solid, compact baseboard perfect for those short of space for a layout! Very impressed with the quality of service and will definitely order again when finances allow for an extension!

Impressed how easily this went together and how light and strongly the resultant boards are. Does smell a bit but assume this is result of the laser cutting process.

This is the 2nd baseboard I have purchased as well as 3 photo plank boards. They all fit together beautifully and saves having to build baseboards from scratch if that’s not your thing. Being laser cut they are extremely accurate and align with each other perfectly. To me they offer good value for money, and SMS certainly give a great service.

Great little laser wood kit. Forms a great baseboard for a micro layout in either OO or N gauges. The pieces are laser cut to perfection & slot together without issue and the baseboard can be expanded with other SMS products. Secure wing nuts and bolts allow each half to mate securely and form a strong layout base. Ordered and delivered within 3 days!

I purchased a BB018 baseboard kit on line (easy smooth transaction) and the kit was delivered a few days later, well packaged. Assembly of the board was quick and easy....
