Setrack Plan Book |

All of our PECO plan track packs are designed to take all of the stress and hassles out of designing your own OO/HO scale model railway layout from scratch, making them ideal for anyone just getting started in the hobby, or wanting to expand on the standard oval supplied with most starter sets.
What's included:
Our track packs contain all of the track sections, buffer stops and power connecting clips to enable you to set the layout up as quickly as possible according to the plans.
We'll also through in a FREE copy of the Peco Setrack Plans book which contains over 30 professionally designed model railway layouts, complete with full parts lists. It's also packed with hints, tips & guidance from the Peco team to help you get the very best start in the hobby.
What's not included:
Track fixings (pins or glue), buildings and scenery are not included. You'll also need to source a suitable model railway baseboard too. This can be made from Plywood or you can purchase modular or custom solutions.
About this layout:
Whilst the PECO plan shows a scenic section, and a non-scenic, or fiddle yard, section, there is no reason why you can't add scenery to the whole of the baseboard with this layout. Both sides of the backscene can be used, to create two separate scenes.
There is plenty of space to add rural or farmland scenery, or a more built-up village or township. You could even create an inner city feel, using retaining walls and blocks of flats.
Leaving the backscene off altogether allows you to blend the different scenes together, or to treat the whole baseboard as one scene.
Buildings Suggestions
For the station area, our flexible platform kit, LX414-OO, is ideal to match the curve of the track. A small station halt building, such as the LX384-OO Wooden Platform Shelter, plus a couple of small huts would be all that was needed for the railway infrastructure.
Outside the railway fence, for a farm or village scene, there are lots of options in our farm buildings and houses ranges, the choice is yours as to which will best depict your ideas.
If you want to go more urban, or even industrial, again there are several buildings which will enhance the lineside.
