A laser-cut kit to build this delightful wooden platform shelter, based on the ex NER / LNER shelter at Robin Hoods bay in the North East of England, but examples of these shelters can be seen all over the UK, painted in a variety of colours.

A highly detailed kit featuring glazed windows, notice boards, wood plank engraved detail, canopy / valance supports and interior seating and more to make this a real centrepiece of your station platform. Whether you're modelling a steam era layout, or preserved line on a modern image layout, this kit will fit in perfectly.

Can be painted with acrylic paints & detailed with your choice of weathering powders. If using brush applied acrylic paints we recommend not thinning them with water as this can cause the laserboard to swell. Click here for more information on how to paint your station shelter to suit your region.

Key Features:

  • Laser engraved details & glazed windows
  • Straightforward to build but does contain small parts.

A joy to construct

This is a straightforward kit to build and a produces a building that is suitably old fashioned for my kind of project - light railways around 1922. It lends itself to embellishment with climbing plants and period figures to create an archaic scene but equally would be appropriate for a scene up to the present day.

Fantastic platform shelter at a great price

Beautiful product that goes together brilliantly and doesn't require expert modelling skills. The result is a detailed building that really looks smart. Being detailed, some parts are quite fragile but time and care is definitely rewarded. Great value too and service too. Highly recommended.

Platform Shelter

Really good kit that fits together wel. excellent value for money not only does the finished item painted loo great but will provide a good few hours entertainment building it. The level of detail is excellent and really show through when painted or weathered. I used the tiles Scale Model Scenery provide separate and this use adds a another level to the item.

Nice looking shelter!

Very impressed with the engineering that has gone into making this model straightforward to assemble, even for my first attempt at something like this. Having the trims on a different sheet has enable the shelter to be painted white with the trims a 'maroon' sort of LMS colour scheme!
