BB001 Diorama Baseboard Large

This basebroad is just the right size for my model railways needs its good quality strong its nice and neat i have multiple scale model scenery basebroads they are prefect for my model railway needs specially when you don't have much room.

Perfect size for where I needed. I have 2 for main bit and a 3rd for when running locos in and out

These boards are so precisely made that they fit together perfectly. For a ham handed guy like me with less than zero carpentry skills they are a saviour.

I didn't find the fit as tight as some have said but tight enough. Took me less than an hour to assemble three units. If only the rest of the layout was going to be that easy.

Well-designed and easy to assemble using fingers and wood glue; no mallet required. I painted mine with Rustins MDF sealer on all surfaces as a precaution against future warping.

Very well made and goes together easy be handy for a small layout

I’d been looking at these baseboards for a while, as my woodworking skills are sadly lacking. The space under the boards would also save me crawling under to fit point motors etc. I wasn’t disappointed, the baseboard arrived in double quick time and proved to be as easy to build as stated on the website. A quick test fit, some wood glue and in around 15 mins I had a new baseboard. Need to order the rest of them now and crack on with the new layout. Ron

Very well made laser cut parts sold as a flat pack, full instructions are provided for assembly but they are so simple to build ! Sturdy construction once assembled.

They really are a nice piece of kit! Solid and easy to build, great for dioramas, like the O gauge one I'm building with them. I'd you are looking for boards of this size, this is the way to go!

Well packaged and good instructions. Boards are good value and would certainly buy again.

Well pleased with this item. Went together without trouble. Used Gorilla Wood Glue. Main reason for purchase was to use it as a photo booth. Other ideas may well stem from buying this. Purchased a central section as well. Watch this space !!!

Not assembled them yet but they were very well packaged and received within the 3-5 days as stated.

Received today very quick service I've just assembled 1 corner unit and 1 centre unit took 30 mins to do both I'll pop and do 2 more now before tea I think these are excellent what a talented guy you are Justin

just received base boards done a dry run a small fault was found emailed and justin rang bag part replaced v/good service

Ideal solution for creating a diorama with the minimum of effort on baseboard design. Easy to put together. Promptly dispatched plus a free lollipop! Would like to see a larger version a some future date.

I am delighted with the diorama baseboard. 100% satisfaction. Customer service excellent. This review is for BB001 and BB002 both twin packs. They were very well packed and arrived quickly. I assembled the baseboard in a few hours, including a few tea breaks, and I am thrilled with the result. Full instructions are enclosed and it is really easy to build. All the sections fit perfectly and the Super Phatic glue bonds very quickly using only a small amount. My baseboard is over 160 cm long so I glued strips of wood over the joints on the back panel, as recommended by Scenic, and the entire baseboard is rock solid and very stable. This baseboard kit is ideal for a beginner and I am really looking forward to creating my first 00 gauge model steam railway Diorama.

this product makes life easy as some of us have arthritis but i had no problem assembling these units no hassle beautifully cut and just went together as instructed can thoroughly recommend this products and will be ordering more soon one thing i might suggest is that you include two bolts in the end kits like you do for the centre units very satisfied customer

Just assembled a pair of these boards (one end board and a medium centre). Very impressed - they went together quickly and precisely. They're rigid but lightweight and very well designed. Perfect for the little OO6.5 narrow gauge layout I have in mind to fit in a bookshelf. Superb!

Simple and easy to build although I would definitely recommend using glue to make sure the boards are securely fixed together. The spacers provided mean that it's simple to join two or more boards together (if you buy a centre piece). They are sturdy but lightweight. A great base for any kind of diorama or, in my case, to have a mini N gauge model railway in very small space. I just need to build the scenery and lay the track now!

The baseboards are superb, I needed something to refresh my creative processes as I'd become a bit stuck. These baseboard modules slot together easily and I can now go ahead with renewed vigour (good grief! Where did I get that from?). They arrived safely and very quickly and were superbly packed. Top marks to the SMS gang!
