An A4 sheet of lightly weathered, laser cut roof slates, ready to apply to the roofs of your model buildings. These laser cut, pre-weathered slate strips are the fastest way for the discerning modeller to create a realistic roof on a model building. No painting or weathering required. Simply release the strips from the card sheet, trim & glue into place... Job done!
A single pack covers a roof area approximately 280mm x 115mm, and includes three ridge strips as well as wider slates for the ends of every other run, to give an incredibly realistic finish with no fuss.
Can be further painted and weathered if desired. Recommended glue: Deluxe Materials Roket Card Glue or Laser Cut Kit Glue.

Look very realistic. Painting roof tiles and slates can be a time consuming and difficult job to get looking good. So why bother, when sms have produced these packs! They look life like and do the job nicely!
Very comprehensive instructions help the kits go together very easily with a little patience. The quality of the finished article are outstanding, as always.
Performed as expected but too expensive to use on a regular basis. Will continue to fabricate my own roof tiles when scratchbuilding.

These are the most realistic roof slates I have used in my modelling. They overlap, hooray! And they are so easy to use. I might try the heavily weathered ones next time.

looks good on small roof, but I found it hard to use on large roof, as it is hard to get an even distance between stips and hard to get straight lines

Adds that "lived in" look to the buildings on my layout.
Due to time constraints I’ve yet to use the product, however, at first glance it looks every bit as good as advertised. A warm, welcoming and prompt service, I was apprised at every stage of the process. There are model railway services out there that should learn from this model, and I look forward to my next purchase. Many thanks.

At last! Somebody (S.M.S.) has produced roof slates which overlap! Hooray! There are so many slates (and tiles) on the market which look as if they are laid like paving slabs with gaps between each to let the water in! I've just begun to upgrade my first "roof" with this product and early signs suggest it is going to be a cracker! When I'm done with these, I'll be wanting to try the heavily weathered version.
The LX-415 and Lx-410 roof tiles are the easiest and best way to add realistic detail to the roof of a model building. They are easy to apply to scratch built or kit buildings and are ideal for improving existing kit buildings with printed tiles.
Very easy to use, puts texture onto a flat roof, much easier and quicker than using individual tiles.
nearly finished doing the roof, looking really good, can't believe the way they lift up to give that realistic look, only downside is that i am 75 and wonder if it will be finished before i am 76, But don't let that put you off if you have the time and want the looks go for these Paul
Very accurate and nicely coloured
My order for this and the other Weathered Roof Slates arrived yesterday and I immediately set to modifying the roofs of my Scalescenes Station Building which, while it was OK, it was calling out for the 'real-thing'. I have now nearly used the single sheet of tiles and as it is obvious that I must now 'update' my other models to finally complete my new layout buildings.
Excellent product they are really effective when laid on a roof have used them on the station platform waiting room kit and it finished it off. I added a little powdered weathering prior to sealing with acrylic matt varnish.
