KX087-OO Coach House & Stables - OO / 4mm / 1:76

This OO gauge coach house & stables laser cut building kit is ideal for virtually any era model railway layout or 1:76 scale diecast diorama. Ideal for rural and country scenes as a coach house, or it can of course be repurposed as an industrial building or even as a dockside fisherman's cottage with attached boat storage and net loft. It's really up to you how you use it and the options are endless.

The coach house & stables features lots of detail such as hinge overlays on the doors, layered, glazed windows, pre-weathered roof slates, painted white stone wall wraps with brick arches. Soot stained chimneys and separately applied drainpipes complete the realistically better finish. There's even the prototypical uneven roofline, just like you see on many older buildings constructed with detailed roof trusses for authenticity.

The roof slates are cut to length and pre-weathered with lots of lichen and staining. Simply glue them on to the marked trusses to create a super-realistic roof.

The central larger carriage store is separated from the stables & accommodation via internal walls. These sections also feature a floor between the ground floor and the upper floor, allowing you to go to town with interior detailing on these sections. No interior wraps are supplied for these sections.

We've also included an optional solid wooden door which you can use in place of the stable door, making it more suitable for use as an industrial workshop with store room and office. Or fisherman's cottage with workshop/boat store and net loft.

The kit is straightforward to assemble with paper texture wraps over a series of MDF base layers which leave no unsightly joints visible when construction is complete. As with many of our kits, there are some small, delicate parts in the kit, so tweezers are definitely recommended. 

You will need to paint the doors, windows, guttering and downpipes etc as these are supplied unpainted. Artists acrylic paints or "rattle can" spray paints are recommended prior to assembly. Some of the larger unpainted parts can be easily coloured with a simple permanent marker.
