Build a unique, large warehouse for a dockside, quayside or industrial scene on your OO gauge model railway layout or 1:76 diecast diorama. This "unwrapped kit" is design to give you a headstart when it comes to scratch-building and is supplied as a bare-bones kit, allowing you to choose to add texture to the walls with your own choice of brick paper, stone paper or textured plasticard.

The kit is designed too give you lots of scope for personalisation with the various windows being interchangeable and of varying designs: 4 pane, 6 pane, wooden shuttered and boarded up. The large sliding doors can also be positioned however you choose; fully open, closed or anywhere in between. The windows are also "multi-layered" giving you the option to glaze them and build realistic windows and allow the building interior to be illuminated. Guttering strips and downpipes are also included to enable you to easily take the detail to the next level.

The kit is supplied without roof tiles or slates, again giving you complete freedom to use whichever roof material you prefer such as our LX410-OO Pre-Weathered Slates or LX418-OO Terracotta Tiles. Assembly is straightforward to assemble with pre-cut MDF and laserboard components which can also be easily painted and detailed with acrylic paints.

An excellent kit

This is a well designed kit. It goes together really well and comes with very clear instructions. I'm using the SMS brick texture papers for the walls and the slate paper for the roof. I'd highly recommend this kit.

A well designed model with plenty of scope to customise.

As this is a "half way house" between a kit build and total scratch building the model is a great way to construct a more personalised or individual model. It means you can choose what type of roof to fit, what the walls would have been made from (I decided on a dirty yellowish brick construction) and how to deal with the windows. I decided to board up some, treating them with a dark wash, and obscure the others to imitate dirty windows. Adding some hoists to the outside walls and a bit of vegetation adds to the realism. I haven't quite finished the model but am already thinking of getting another as I have a few more ideas on customisation.

Excellent basis for a scratch build . I bought a second unit so now have the option to use as a low relief or full blown building . Really pleased with this item .

A great relief kit that's will fit well on any era of layout, finish it in brick stone or cement whatever you choose, add thd roof, add the sides for greater depth, you can use it as a derelict empty warehouse or a full functioning one, still in daily use, easy to build too
