The backscene is placed more to the back of the layout, maximising the scenic area available. A simple tunnel mouth and a road overbridge hide the track exits, as the track sweeps into and out of the simple station track configuration. The rest of the scenic area is virtually clear for you to add your own interpretation, open countryside, heavy industrial such as a mine or quarry, or an urban or inner-city scene, with lots of houses, shops and commercial premises.
Buildings Suggestions
As well as a typical farm scene, the simple station track plan might include a cattle dock.
For a more industrial feel, the goods shed could be replaced with a factory or warehouse, such as our KX090-OO bonded warehouse. A modern scene can be created using the low-relief industrial units, such as KX060-OO and KX007-OO.
