Based on an a real-life building close to our headquarters, this versatile building can be assembled as either a pristine building, derelict, or anywhere in between, in a similar manner to our Barn kit and has lots of scope for kit-bashing. Supplied with a choice of stone and brick exterior and interior wraps and our new pre-weathered laser cut roof tiles, this kit enables you to build a very realistic outbuilding for your model railway layout or diecast diorama.
Can be used alongside our barn kit, or as a standalone building in a goods yard, farm, builders yard...There are so many options for this kit. It could be the offices for a builders merchant or timber yard... anything! Hang an AX147-OO Lifebuoy on the wall and it's perfect for a harbour office! It also works as a small bungalow / bothy for layouts set in the highlands, moorland or Peak District too.
The model features lots of laser cut detail including roof trusses, roof slates & fully detailed doors & windows (which can be glazed with a little piece of the kit packaging).
Doors & windows require painting which can be done with solvent or acrylic based paints.
Step-by-step instructions are included giving great results for modellers of all ages and abilities. Fully compatible with all model railway brands & buildings, including Hornby, Bachmann, Superquick and Metcalfe.

Clear and easy to follow instructions. Ideal first build for any first timer. Available in either brick or stone finish.
Really easy to make up and when finished it really looks the part i would recommend these buildings to all model people
Managed to break a couple of the trusses due to my Parkinson tremor but all covered by the tiles so no one but us know
Nice product, well finished parts. Looks like it will go together nicely and have a great look on the pike.
Simple to assemble and beautifully detailed
This is the 2nd kit we have from Scale Model Scenery (along with quite a few others), but this is an extremely good building for any for any layout, easily adaptable and fits all areas.
I like the choice of finishes.

A cracking little kit, a good starter kit. This is the second one of these I have made, converted to a Fisherman's Cottage, I still need to fit chimneys. I quite enjoyed altering the roof line to a sagging failing roof. Very pleased with the outcome Recommended.
A superb kit, easy to build, but take your time with the rafters, I have one slightly raised and it spoils the roof, just make sure they all sit fully down with no high ones. A delight to build. I modified mine to a Farm Cottage, by adding chimneys and a wooden extension to one end. I have just ordered another.
I purchased this kit with a view to including it in a fishing harbour diorama that I'm planning to build.I think it will very much fit the bill as a harbour building used for bet,fishing gear,lobster pot storage etc

Nothing to dislike, nice sturdy model, easy to follow instructions, fits together very well. Options to have what you want and how you want it, I would include painting the inside as an idea if you are having a disused building.
