The perfect kit for creating a barrow crossing or foot crossing on your layout that has been assembled using recycled sleepers. Manufactured from the highest quality basswood, which has been engraved & detailed using our laser cutter. Features rail chair indentations and bolt holes, plus we've carefully engraved away the upper surface of the wood to give a weathered finish. To install, simply cut the sleeper strips into the lengths required using a sharp craft knife. As the sleepers are supplied in strips you can easily create the perfect barrow crossing to suit your layout by simply trimming them to length as required. Paint or weather with your chosen shades (real wood stains can be used on these)  then glue into place on your track, then apply ballast, weeds and grass around the crossing as required. The picture shows the kit unpainted.

  • Foot / barrow crossings at the end of a platform to allow passengers to get from one platform to another on a smaller halt or station
  • Foot crossing close to a signal box to enable the signalman to collect tokens easily from a passing train
  • Walkways outside a busy engine shed

  • Sleeper height: 1.8mm approx.
  • Width: 29.8mm
  • Length: Maximum strip length is 92mm approx. Two strips per pack giving a total length of 184mm from a single pack.
  • Recommended glue: Deluxe Materials Rocket Card Glue or SuperPhatic

Weathered sleeper barrow crossing

Really well detailed can be used unpainted, but also look great with acrylic paint to darken for busy yard areas. Easy enough to snap to the lengths you need. A great addition to any period of railway.

This small sectioned laser cut kit comes already weathered, but still leaves scope for being able to put your own mark on it. Scale is correct for OO / 1:76 so will fit for Railway modellers and diorama builders.
